Ex-teammate claims Kylian Mbappe ‘really wants’ to go to Real Madrid

Ex-Real Madrid striker Jese Rodriguez has fueled fire over Kylian Mbappe’s desire to swap Parc des Princes for the Santiago Bernabeu in the near future.

Having left Paris Saint-Germain late last year, Jese recently signed for Las Palmas. When the subject of Mbappe was brought up in an interview, the former Stoke City man was not shy about discussing his former teammate’s long-term ambitions.

Jese revealed, via COPE’s El Partidazo: “Mbappe really wants to go to Madrid. [He] started to [watch] Madrid when he was 16, Cristiano [Ronaldo] was his idol.

Mbappe signed for PSG from Monaco initially on loan before a transfer fee of over £ 150million was paid to secure his services.

The World Cup winner’s current deal with Mauricio Pochettino’s side will expire in June 2022 and there has been a lot of speculation about his next move with Real Madrid and Liverpool strongly linked.
